Annotation | Governments' views and policies concerning population and development for the 194 Member and non-member states of the United Nations (UN) are delineated. This report itemises policies in the areas of population size and growth, population age structure, fertility and family planning, health and mortality, spatial distribution and international migration. Previous similar reports for 2001 and 1998 were published as "National population policies", while prior to 1998, the data was published as the "Global review and inventory of population policies" (GRIPP). Data presented in this volume are also being released on a CD-ROM. There is also access to selected parts of this publication on the Population Division website, http://unpopulation.org (RH). |
