Annotation | "Family matters: counting families in" is one of several projects commissioned by the Department of Health (DH) to help develop a new learning disability strategy. The report seeks to highlight the perspective of family carers, and represents a synthesis of a broad range of views, collected through correspondence, consultation workshops, conversations with family carers, and a review of the relevant literature. It includes examples of work being undertaken by local projects, as it is at a local level that the strategy is needed to make a difference to individuals' lives. (RH). |
