AnnotationThe National Housing Federation (NHF), the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and the Local Government Association (LGA) have prepared a joint submission to the Government's 2004 Spending Review (SR04) concerning the creation and protection of sustainable communities. Their submission and recommendations reflect the broad range of their concerns, being structured around the following themes: delivering balanced markets; the new localism and regional agenda; decent homes in sustainable communities; care, support and homelessness; housing and the wider agenda; improving efficiency and effectiveness; and home owning and home renting. They also outline the case for developing a National Strategy for Housing Market Restructuring. (RH).
