Annotation | This report examines what has happened since the first "Keep taking the medicine?" report was published in 2001. It reviews new research evidence, draws on recent parliamentary answers, and concludes that the Government continues to be complacent. Further studies of nursing homes in the UK confirm the pattern of inappropriate prescribing observed in earlier work. The Ministerial response from Jacqui Smith MP to the 2001 report is given as an appendix. (RH). |
