AnnotationIt is the author's contention that, for staff in the caring professions wishing to inform their practice, the Internet is by far the best means of access to evidence. Her paper also provides a description and rationale for evidence-based practice, and uses examples of currently available research resources to highlight the Internet's benefits. It is suggested that appropriate training and support must be provided alongside better Internet access. The paper is set in the context of government initiatives encouraging e-government. (RH).
