AnnotationResearch staff at Myers Research Institute in Chicago have developed an assessment tool to measure the cognitive and functional status of people with severe dementia. This consists of seven activities measuring cognitive, social, motor and sensory skills, and based on the learning principles and activities developed by Maria Montessori and her educational philosophy.
