Annotation | An area of concern is how relationships between older and younger generations can be developed and supported, and at the same time find ways of revitalising communities to make them more cohesive. This guide is intended to help practitioners to develop an intergenerational approach to community development, and to understand some of the key issues that need to be considered in developing effective practice. It explores the underpinning principles, and uses the example of the Newcastle Coalfields Intergenerational Community Development Project in North Staffordshire as a case study of intergenerational community action work being done at the Beth Johnson Foundation (BJF).
