Annotation | PPI Briefing Notes clarify topical issues in pensions policy. This Briefing Note gives an insight into some of the alternative decisions that an individual can make to obtain an adequate pension income. The Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) has developed a model that calculates entitlements to state and private pension income - depending on the age at which an individual started contributing to a pension scheme, and with what percentage of salary. Given the low level of average pension saving, many people will find themselves caught in the means-testing trap and will have to claim Pension Credit (PC). (RH). |
