AnnotationFormerly: Social Security Statistics. Published annually. The DWP was formed on 8 June 2001 from parts of the Department of Social Security, Department for Education and Employment and the Employment Service. This publication focuses on three major client groups - Children and Families, Working Age and Pensioners, before examining individual benefit and employment statistics. Most data is secondary and the data on pensioners' incomes is largely based on information contained in the Family Expenditure Survey (DSS) and is also published as a separate series.
