Annotation | Disabled people rely on community equipment to help them lead more independent lives, yet much of it is second-rate, out of date, or inadequately serviced. The author suggests some points for best practice, drawing attention to the requirement under section 31 of the Health Act 1999 for health services and local authorities to have pooled budgets.
