Annotation | Housing-related support services have the aim of developing an individual's capacity to live independently in the community, or sustaining capacity to do so, through low-level support focused on maintaining a tenancy. This study focuses in particular on the Transitional Housing Benefit Scheme (THBS) between 2000 and 2003. The study investigates the position in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, where there have been differences in the implementation and management of THBS and the Supporting People programme generally.
