Annotation | This issue of Research Policy and Planning is a product of a conference held in London in June 2002 to explore innovative ways of seeking the views of older people in health and social care research. The six articles are written by speakers who address issues and dilemmas that they have experienced in attempting to reach such groups as those people with dementia or from ethnic groups. It is hoped that this special edition contributes towards the growing body of work on involving users in health and social care research in two ways. First, by addressing the question, why include older people in research? Secondly, presentation and assessment of the methods used. (KJ/RH). |
