Annotation | There is a need to develop more inclusive approaches to researching the experiences of older people with dementia if research is to counter the marginalisation and exclusion they face. This paper outlines findings from a study using video to research the communicative experiences of older people with dementia. Video was found to be a useful tool, enabling the inclusion of this group's experiences in research and their involvement in the research process. The implications of these findings for video research and the involvement of people with dementia in research are discussed. (KJ/RH). |
