AnnotationThis Bill is to establish Older People's Commissioners for England and Wales, to make provision for the Commissioners' duties in respect of the protection of the rights and interests of older people, and for connected purposes. If the Bill is enacted, the Commissioners' functions in respect of older people's rights and interests shall take into account: physical and mental health; protection from harm and neglect; the contribution made by older people to society; social and economic well-being; and other matters that appear relevant to the Commissioners.
