Annotation | The Caregiver Powerfulness Scale (CPS) focuses on caregivers' strengths and capabilities, and may be a more appropriate way of measuring support group interventions for family caregivers than other outcome measures. Based on exploratory psychometric testing with 46 family caregivers of frail older people, the CPS demonstrates an acceptable degree of reliability as measured by internal consistency and good initial validity. Despite these promising results, more testing with larger samples is required. (RH). |
