Annotation | The AWARE project, funded by the European Union (EU), was initiated by researchers from the Interdem network, who all share an interest in psychosocial approaches to timely intervention for people with dementia and their families. The aims are the sharing of ideas about awareness in dementia, and preparing a plan for future research that includes the perspectives of those living with dementia. The authors explore the concept of "awareness" in dementia, and explain how the project is seeking to redefine it in a more positive and beneficial way for people with dementia. (RH). |
