AnnotationThe ESRC Research Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE) was established in October 1997. The aims of CASE, as agreed with ESRC, are to develop understanding within five broad areas: income mobility and economic exclusion; the role of social welfare institutions; family change and civil society; the dynamics of area decline and regeneration; and analysis of the concept of social exclusion. This annual report describes the research and activities carried out by CASE. (AKM).
