Annotation | Despite low levels of risk, older people have been targeted by a number of crime reduction initiatives. The Plymouth Homesafe scheme described in this article clearly targeted the more vulnerable groups within the community, and clients were extremely positive about the service and implementation. However, there was little evidence of expressions of lower levels of fear of crime than by older people in general. This leads to a discussion of different levels of vulnerability, and the way different subcategories of clients perceived and benefited from the scheme. (RH). |
