Annotation | Weissert and colleagues are attempting to find solutions to what they perceive as problems in long-term care. Capitman suggests they are seeking solutions to the wrong problem. Rather, the need is to work out the least costly and most sustainable ways of responding to disability, while promoting the autonomy and well-being of chronically ill older people and their caregivers.
