AnnotationThe Strategic Partnering Taskforce has considered the many elements that make local authority strategic service-delivery partnerships (SSPs) work. SSPs are long-term partnerships between organisations that work collaboratively to achieve a local authority's strategic aims for delivering services, and also deliver significant benefits to the public. The report brings together the Taskforce's main findings, recommending what can be done to make partnerships a realistic option for local authorities to obtain services. A central focus for the Taskforce was the Pathfinder projects which formed a practical learning base from which to analyse Best Practice. The Tameside Older Person's Partnership is one of the projects. (RH).
