Annotation	This was a one-year project to examine the involvement of service users in the governing boards of bodies set up to regulate service, workforce, education and training standards in social care. The project was supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) as part of its programme of research and innovative development projects. The report includes a literature review, and presents the views given by stakeholders and users in interviews. It concludes that there the need for a wider range of user representation and participation on such governing bodies. (RH).
