AnnotationThe expectation is that by 2007, there will be a significant decrease in the number of younger trainees in Germany, while the proportion of people aged 50+ in industry will increase. This short article outlines results of Öffentlichkeits- und Marketingstrategie demografischer Wandel, a transfer and implementation project. The focus has been on the following three themes: creating balanced age structures and maintaining an innovative capacity within companies; developing a labour and staff policy that takes into account age and ageing; and stimulating employment and presenting new areas of activity for older people.
