Annotation | These two articles deal with a variety of issues regarding nutrition education for varying populations of older adults. The compilation is the result of work by the Elderly Nutrition Education Group (ENE), an independent group of American nutrition professionals with strong interest in and commitment to the importance of nutrition education for older adults. These articles are the result of an ENE symposium held in 1999 in Baltimore, MD, that invited participants to submit manuscripts highlighting their specific area of interest and other articles will follow. The papers in the ENE collection are a mixture of reports of current research, good practice implementation, educational materials, literature reviews by topic, and viewpoints. The series began with two current practice articles in volume 21, 2002 and will continue in future journal issues until the entire collection of articles has been published. The organiser and co-editor for the ENE collection is Mary Meck Higgins, Assistant Professor and Cooperative Extension Service nutrition specialist at Kansas State University. (KJ/RH). |
