AnnotationAge Concern England (ACE) has already received enquiries from people who are affected by the ending of the Residential Allowance, and who have been unable to obtain correct information from their local authority about how their case will be dealt with after 6 October 2003. This response considers in turn the proposals for residential charges and for home care charges. It concludes that the proposals as they stand undermine the policy intent of Pension Credit to reward those who have made provision for their old age. (RH).
