Annotation | Keeping active is as important for people with dementia as for anyone, yet there are additional difficulties in helping people with dementia to get up and keep going. This short video explains why walking is important, and shows how to help people get on their feet. It would be useful as part of a moving and handling course, or as a way of stimulating discussion on understanding challenging behaviour and planning meaningful activities. (RH). |
