Annotation | When a patient with dementia displays inappropriate sexual behaviour in a residential setting such as a nursing home, this often causes disruption to the whole fabric of life in the home. Occasionally, old-age psychiatrists are asked by general practitioners (GPs) to provide assistance in managing such cases. The authors explore the possible causes of, and discuss strategies to deal with, such disruptive behaviour. (RH). |
