| Annotation | The conceptual framework of the subject area known as social and educational gerontology - that is, the application of social and educational sciences to the field of old age - is analysed. The authors also examine the current situation as regards existing Spanish policies and programmes for older people. They also outline the potential role of social education in the field of gerontology, and describe what public authorities in Spain plan to do for this age group. (RH). |
