Annotation | The 2001 Census was the first one to include a question on carers. Although the statistics on carers are available broken down by local authority area, not all the data on carers has been fully analysed. This policy briefing presents the main statistics, and comments on how the results compare with other surveys such as the General Household Survey (GHS). It also gives summary statistics for carers and poor health, carers from ethnic minorities, and carers aged under 18. (RH). |
