Annotation | The author uses a feminist theology perspective to examine the relationships of three older churchgoing women with their local churches, and how they experience themes of community, connection and caring. The author notes that ageism is alive and well in structures and attitudes in Christian churches in Britain; however, older women may be reluctant to make themselves heard. She suggests actions that local churches should take to improve their connections with older women, and how older women can empower themselves in their relationships with their churches. (RH). |
