Annotation | In 1999, NIACE, Help the Aged, Anchor Trust, the Open University and Sussex University organised a national conference to explore what learning opportunities existed for older people in care settings. This document outlines the themes and presentations at this 2003 conference, which explored further the context of such work. The importance attached to Standard 8 of the National Service Framework for Older People (NSF) highlights that care staff are key people in provision, and therefore need appropriate training. that provides intellectual stimulation for their residents.
