AnnotationOlder people under-claim for benefits more than any other social group. This report is based on a survey of benefit take-up campaigns for older people organised by Citizens Advice Bureaux (CABx). More than 100 bureaux provided information and evidence on their experience of organising such campaigns and the outcomes achieved. The report explains the reasons why benefit take-up initiatives are needed, highlights what results can be achieved, and, based on CABx experience, summarises the effective ways of organising campaigns and the resources that may be required to develop this area of work in future.
