AnnotationThis housing action kit draws on what already works well, offers some examples of good practice, and explains why and how older people can become actively involved in planning better housing for an ageing society. The main aim is to inspire and enable older people to influence the local shaping of this better housing. It includes: how housing is planned and funded; examples of how older people's groups are making a difference to housing; where to find out more; and suggestions for questions for older people who are developing housing strategies. The action kit is accompanied by two other Care & Repair pamphlets: "Housing and older people: time for fresh thinking and new ideas"; and "Housing and older people: facts and figures". (RH).
