AnnotationHousing Decisions in Old Age was a partnership in research between Counsel and Care and Lancaster University's Department of Applied Social Science. The work was funded for three years by the Community Fund (formerly the National Lottery Charities Board) and finished in January 2003. This Briefing paper outlines the methods used and findings from interviews and written housing stories for the report, "Homing in on housing", a study of people's housing pathways in later life. The emphasis was on what influenced older people's housing decisions, how they perceived their housing situations and choices, and the consequences of decisions made. (RH).
