Annotation | From April 8 to 12 2002, in Madrid, Spain, at the Second World Assembly on Ageing 2002, both delegates of government and non-governmental organisations united to revise the International Plan on Ageing and elaborated a long-term strategy for the ageing world. The NGO Forum took place from 4 to 9 April 2002 to give non-governmental organisations the opportunity to exchange global ideas and experience, highlight their role in advocacy and awareness-raising, and discuss ways to put the Strategy into effect.
