AnnotationThis document contains the Care Homes Regulations 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 no.3965) but as amended by Statutory Instrument 2002 no. 865; National Minimum Standards for Care Homes for Adults (18-65) and the Supplementary standards for children aged 16 and 17 in care homes. Together with the "National minimum standards for care homes for older people", these Regulations and standards form the basis of the new regulatory framework under the Care Standards Act 2000 (CSA) for the conduct of care homes. This document, as a second edition, incorporates the outcome of further consultation that occurred between July and November 2002, on proposed amendments to certain environmental standards. (KJ/RH).
