Annotation | Neglect is often referred to as unilateral or hemispatial, as it disproportionately affects one side of the brain more than the other. It can affect a person's ability to carry out many everyday tasks such as eating, reading and getting dressed. This review discusses evidence for the effectiveness of neglect rehabilitation based on single cases and randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Overall, it aims to make recommendations for clinicians working with people with neglect following a stroke, and to highlight future research directions. (RH). |
