What can higher education contribute to dementia care? | Author(s) | Dave Pulsford |
Journal title | Journal of Dementia Care, vol 11, no 4, July/August 2003 |
Pages | pp 27-29 |
Keywords | Dementia ; Personnel ; University education. |
Annotation | Although many higher education institutions (HEIs) offer some education in dementia care, provision is patchy and fragmented. Moreover, many qualified professionals working in the field have had little dementia-specific education since qualifying. The author and his colleagues review current provision of higher education for professionals in dementia care, and suggest a curriculum and directions for its future development. (RH). |
