Annotation | The aim of the Caring for People Who Live at Home Initiative is to encourage developments in day and domiciliary care, particularly in the independent sector. In the summer of 1992, the government invited social services departments in England to submit proposals for projects. The projects of the 15 local authorities chosen to take part included Newham. This document was produced as part of the project and aims to give organisations and community groups in the independent sector in the Newham, some broad guidelines for discussions about developing and offering community care services in the Borough. The Initiative was managed and co-ordinated by a project team at the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) and run until mid 1995. (KJ/RH). |
