Annotation | Following a government initiative, the Irish Sports Council requested Age & Opportunity to develop the Go for Life programme in consultation with a number of other agencies. Go for Life is the National Programme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People. Designed to significantly increase the rate of participation in physical activity by older people, the Go for Life programme has three distinct elements - an active living programme; a sports participation programme; and, the national grant scheme for sport and physical activity for older people. The newsletter communicates and publicises the programme. Published twice a year to 2003, and then annually, it is available in electronic format only. (KJ). |
