AnnotationThe inspection found compliance with the NHS Quality Improvement Older People's Quality Improvement Indicators to be very good, with evidence of progress towards full compliance. The report notes that Glasgow has set up a number of community-based multidisciplinary older people teams that aim to provide a rapid assessment service to enable older people to remain at home, or to return home safely with their needs identified, met and supported by community care packages. The Local Healthcare Co-operatives (LHCCs) and community teams are keen to become involved in tackling delayed discharges. The report makes recommendations concerning mixed-sex hospital accommodation, and developing the use of advocacy. (RH).
