Annotation | Community psychiatric nurses (CPNs) in old age psychiatry play an integral role in the care of older patients in the community. In this article, the author discusses how that role is adapting to suit the needs of the modern health service, and how the job can be enhanced to bring old age psychiatrists and general practitioners with a special interest in older people (GPSIs) into an ever closer relationship.
