Annotation | By 2030, the UK's minority elder population will have risen to around 1.7 million. This article examines research looking at the quality of life among Britain's minority ethnic populations, and the challenges laid down by its findings. The research is based on a sample of 200 older people with different racial and cultural backgrounds who had participated in the Family Resources Survey (FRS). The resultant report, "Quality of life and social support among people from different ethnic groups", is published by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). (RH). |
