Annotation | The Commission for Health Improvement (CHI) presents findings relevant to older people. These are based on reviews of action that CHI has requested hospital trusts to take, and best practice relating to older people. Stroke and fractured neck of femur (FNOF) have been chosen, because of their high prevalence among older people. The review gives examples from clinical governance reports published between August 2002 and February 2003, to summarise issues concerning patient experience relating to treating patients with dignity and respect, access to services, and standards of cleanliness.
