Annotation | NIACE has been developing work with fourth age learners for a number of years, and thought that a tailor-made arts activity intervention might highlight effective ways of developing adult education programmes in residential care settings. Artlink offers creative arts projects to socially excluded groups. This report outlines the training aspects, evaluation and outcomes of an arts project commissioned by NIACE at Flanshaw Lodge, a residential home in Wakefield for people aged 70+, many with short-term memory loss. Recommendations arising relate to the involvement of care staff and participants in such activities. (RH). |
