Annotation | This article discusses the development of the Self-Discovery Tapestry, and suggests a variety of strategies for using the Tapestry in undergraduate and graduate gerontology courses. The Tapestry provides a shared basis for class discussion of the life course, and of the similarities of experiences between older adults and younger students. The use of the Tapestry in gerontology courses invites creative ways to encourage students' self-awareness and curiosity about lifespan development. (KJ/RH). |
