AnnotationMany social work students are not exposed to the specialised knowledge and skills required to serve older people effectively. Delivery of a brief curriculum module in gerontological social work practice at an American university was successful in achieving its main objectives: increasing knowledge about assessment and intervention with older people; and enhancing positive attitudes towards them, especially by undergraduate students.
