Annotation | Older people in Ayrshire and Arran are receiving good care, and users and carers reported a high degree of satisfaction with services provided. The previous report noted problems with quality of life in hospital; other than accommodation, most of these had been tackled. The report's main recommendation concerns the inequity of access to services, and the need to improve liaison with the different services between North and South Ayrshire. This report was undertaken by the Scottish Health Advisory Service (SHAS) prior to its integration into NHS Quality Improvement in Scotland on 1 January 2003. (RH). |
