Annotation | This was the third in a series of three seminars run by Age Concern England (ACE) and sponsored by Legal & General on income and pensions issues. The seminar took place during the consultation period on the Green Paper, "Simplicity, security and choice: working and saving for retirement", which includes a chapter on women, work and pensions. This paper outlines speakers' presentations, which covered: the current pension system and women; the pensions Green Paper; changes that could improved the present situation; and financial advice. Points from discussions are summarised on issues such as: low and part-time earnings affecting ability to save; carers and the second state pension; financial dependency; and working longer. (RH). |
