AnnotationThe Alliance comprises 20 organisations and was formed to campaign for better legislation to protect the rights of those who have lost their mental capacity to make their own decisions. The campaign has two aims: 1) to lobby the Government to introduce mental capacity legislation in the next Queen's Speech, by November 2003 and 2) increase awareness of the need for new legislation. The pack includes a petition card to be sent to The Lord Chancellor urging action. (KJ).
