Annotation | People with dementia, as with other older people, are being admitted in increasing numbers to acute wards, and they tend not to fare well in these environments. This practice guide aims to help registered general nurses further their knowledge about dementia, and to improve the care of people with dementia during their stay in hospital. It also considers how involving family carers can also help in meeting their particular needs. The guide can either be used as a self-study book or used in combination with training. (RH). |
